SFEVA MINUTES April 8, 2006

SFEVA members who attended our April 8 meeting got a close-up look at Lawrence Rhodes' Electravan (which is actually a truck, not a van). Lawrence also raved about the really cool electric Schwinn stingray bicycles on sale at Pep Boys.

We made plans to offer an EV Shuttle service after the Friday, April 21 evening showing of "Who Killed the Electric Car?" at the Kabuki Theater as part of the SF Film Festival. We'll be shuttling people to Rasselas Jazz Club on Fillmore for the after-film party. If you don't get tickets to the film, you're still welcome to come to the party!

We'll be handing out postcard-sized flyers after both showings of the film, which will play Friday 4/21 from 6:45-8:15 pm and on Saturday 4/22 6-7:30 pm. Tickets: http://fest06.sffs.org/info/box_office.php

The SFEVA voted to endorse the California Clean Alternative Energy Initiative.

We also briefly discussed other upcoming events.

We're still looking for volunteers to help Meg display her RAV4-EV and hand out literature at the SF Zoo on Saturday, April 22, from 10 am to 3 pm. If you can help for even part of that time, email Sherry at shaalub [at] yahoo [dot] com.

Next meeting: Saturday, May 6, from 11 am to 1 pm, at 1484 16th Avenue (between Judah & Kirkham, Inner Sunset). The N-Judah stops at the corner. Charging available.
