Help show that there is a market for Plug-Ins!

The City of Austin, Texas is leading a national campaign to prove the market exists for plug-in hybrids. Tell the automakers you want a hybrid that can plug into cheaper, cleaner, domestic electricity by signing the petition at http://www.pluginpartners.org/.

Survey of 110-volt outlets in SF, CA

STATUS - In Progress - Can you help?

Most public EV charging stations don't accommodate conversion EVs that plug into regular 110V wall outlets. For the first time, the SFEVA is surveying parking sites in the City to find places for these cars to plug in.

We have completed inspection of all City-owned garages.

If you'd like to know which garages have outlets, contact us at info2008(at)sfeva(dot)org.

If you see plugs in parking lots or garages, please e-mail info2008(at)sfeva(dot)org to tell us:

• where you saw them
• whether they're near a parking space
• whether a cord between the EV and the outlet would be in the path of pedestrians.
• the date of your observation

We'll work on getting permission to charge later on. Watch this space for survey results, or contact us to hear more about 110V outlets in your area.

Dear Mr. Ford:

I am impressed by what I have learned about the electric vehicles (EVs)
that Ford offered in recent years.  I wish I could buy one.

The two-seater Th!nk City car made urban and suburban driving fun and
convenient. It accelerated from 0 to 30 mph in 7 seconds, with a top speed
of 60 mph, and could go 53 miles between charges.  The three-seater Ranger
truck could handle a payload of 1,250 pounds, with a top speed of 75 mph
and a range of 65-80 miles between charges.  And all of this with NO
EMISSIONS!

Overall, Ford Motor Co. today sells the least fuel-efficient vehicles in
America.  Please return to producing EVs and give consumers the options
that we want to purchase zero-emission vehicles.

miles between charges.  The S-10 truck could handle a payload of 950
pounds and could go up to 60 miles between charges.  And all of this with
NO EMISSIONS!
