About SFEVA
The San Francisco Electric Vehicle Association (SFEVA) is a non-profit educational, support and advocacy group for the promotion of electric vehicles(EVs).
SFEVA works with vehicle manufacturers, government agencies, companies, organizations, and individuals to promote the production of electric vehicles and the expansion of the infrastructure to support electric vehicles of all types. SFEVA also provides support to individuals, companies, and organizations who convert vehicles with internal combustion engines to electric drive.
Electric cars, trucks, motorcycles, scooters, bikes, buses, and trains provide emission-free, efficient, and quiet transportation. These vehicles are powered only by electricity and use no fossil fuels.
Even accounting for the pollution associated with some electric power plants, electric vehicles are the least-polluting, most efficient means of land transportation other than walking or bicycles. And where the electricity is produced by solar panels or wind turbines, EVs run on sunshine and the wind.
The SFEVA, founded in 2004, is a chapter of the Electric Auto Association, founded in 1967. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 educational organization, and donations to the SFEVA are tax-deductible.
