Fremont firefighters quell 2-alarm blaze outside Tesla factory – CBS San Francisco

FREMONT (CBS SF) – Fremont fire crews Friday afternoon controlled a two-alarm fire outside the Tesla factory, authorities said.

A tweet from the Fremont Fire Department at 1:50 p.m. said the Tesla factory fire at 45500 Fremont Boulevard appeared to be burning packaging materials outside the building.

Fremont Fire said mutual aid was requested from the Milpitas Fire Department.

Two ladder units along with several other ground fire units were getting water on the fire when Chopper 5 approached the scene around 1:52 p.m.

Within ten minutes, it appeared that the firefighters were taking over the fire.

Fremont Fire said the fire was brought under control around 2:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
