Polestar begins delivery of “Polestar 2” electric vehicles to Hertz

This is one of the largest electric vehicle orders ever placed today. Hertz is also expected to use Polestar’s other upcoming models, such as the Polestar 3 electric SUV.

The Polestar 2 should be available for rental in Europe in the spring. On the other hand, it will appear at the end of 2022 in Australia and North America.

Additionally, Hertz is also adding the Polestar 1 plug-in hybrids as this will allow customers to enjoy better performance. Hertz also aims to offer Polestars in Seattle, LA, Burbank and Orange County, CA, San Diego, Phoenix/Scottsdale, Miami, Islip, NY and Newark, NJ.

Hertz also announced plans to purchase 100,000 Tesla Model 3s for distribution in its US market, which will represent more than 20% of its global fleet.

Additionally, as part of the collaboration, Hertz will also be adding Polestar 1s to its fleet, which is a bit of a surprise as the car was discontinued last year.

Polestar continues to grow

Polestar is very pleased with its partnership with Hertz, and the delivery of these models is an important milestone for the company. Thanks to this, more and more people will have the opportunity to experience electric vehicles.

Currently, more than 55,000 Polestar cars are running in 25 live markets. It only shows that Polestar is indeed growing rapidly.

By the end of 2025, Polestar aims to increase its annual sales to around 290,000. In addition, their model range will be expanded with the introduction of new cars: Polestar 1, Polestar 2, Polestar 3 and 4 SUVs, and a sedan. fastback, the Polestar 5.

The Polestar 2

Polestar 2 features Scandinavian design and cutting-edge in-car technology, which includes the world’s first in-car infotainment system powered by Google’s Android Automotive OS.

Polestar is also known to aim to bring out the sporty side of Volvo, which is noticeable with the Volvo S60 Polestar and V60 Polestar station wagon.

However, since Volvo tapped into the world of electric vehicles, there were questions about how Polestar will maintain its cool image. It looks like the new Polestar 2 BST Edition 270 2023 will be a complete game-changer. Its horsepower and torque figures are on par with the performance of Tesla Model 3, but this one has a refreshing take on how EVs look.

The pivot for many car rental companies to adopt electric vehicles is led by Hertz and other recognizable names in the industry.
