There are now 12 ships carrying Tesla to Europe and Asia

There are several signs that Tesla is heading for record deliveries in the fourth quarter of this year, even though we’re only one month away.

The first would be that the company’s two factories are very busy, with recent drone footage from Giga Shanghai revealing a record number of new cars parked in its parking lot – 2,150 on October 28. In addition, the factory has its stockyard full of car carriers waiting for vehicles.

The Fremont plant is also bustling with activity, with a video released a few days ago revealing a constant stream of car carriers moving in and out of the facility and holding loads of vehicles, including brand new Model units. S and Model X.

Another sign that Tesla is set for a record fourth quarter is reported daily production at Giga Shanghai: more than 1,600 Model Y crossovers and more than 2,000 Model 3 sedans. The plant is known to focus on production of export cars during the first two months of a quarter.

Now you can add another hint that Tesla deliveries are on the rise: As of November 3, there were at least 12 roll on roll off ships carrying the automaker’s electric vehicles to Europe and Asia. .

Tesla Export Ship Tracker Tesla Carrier Map showed that these ships sailed from the ports of San Francisco and Shanghai to various locations in Asia and Europe.

Two of the ships left California and headed for Taipei in Taiwan, while the other ten were en route from Shanghai to various European ports, presumably loaded with Model 3 and Y vehicles. European destination ports include Southampton (Kingdom United), Zeebrugge (Belgium) and Koper (Slovenia).

On average, a car transporter owns 3,000 cars, so we’re probably looking at some 36,000 Tesla that are on their way to customers, assuming each ship is full and only carries Tesla EVs.

Tesla’s shipments have increased quarterly this year: 184,400 units in the first quarter, 201,250 in the second quarter and 241,300 in the third quarter. The company has already surpassed 2020 numbers, delivering a total of 627,350 cars in the first three quarters of 2021.
